 Any person who sells or serves beverage alcohol or deals with customers who purchase or consume beverage alcohol must attend an approved server training class and receive a Server Permit issued by the LA Office of Alcohol & Tobacco Control.
Servers must obtain a permit within 45 days from date of hire.
Server Permits are valid for four (4) years anywhere in Louisiana unless suspended or revoked. When working, servers must carry permit with one legal picture identification.

- LRA Members - $25 per person
- Non Members - $40 per person
Rules and Regulations
You must register at least 1 week prior to the class. Fee includes course book and server permit.
Attendees must bring valid photo ID (one of the options below) and a pen.

- Louisiana Identification Card
- Driver's License from another State
- Military ID
- Passport/Visa
Student ID's are not a valid form of identification.
Registration begins 30 minutes prior to the start of each class. Attendees must sign in and complete administrative forms at least 15 minutes before class.
State law prohibits the admittance of any student who arrives 15 minutes after the start of the class. No refunds will be given for no-shows, any student arriving later than 15 minutes after the class begins, students that terminate enrollment, and/or cancellations within 7 days.
The LRA reserves the right to cancel classes due to lack of enrollment. If you are registered for a class that has been cancelled, an LRA representative will contact you.
