The Louisiana Restaurant Association recognizes the long-term dedication of employees who make up the backbone of our industry by presenting them with the Louisiana Restaurant Legends Award!
To qualify for the Louisiana Restaurant Legends Award, an employee must:
Have worked at the member restaurant for at least 20 years.
Personify exemplary service and dedication.
Each LRA member restaurant can nominate one employee per year by submitting a simple application to the LRA Communications Department. After an employee’s qualification has been determined, an attractive certificate acknowledging the award will be designed for the employee. Another certificate will be framed and presented to the restaurant owner to be displayed proudly on the premises. Press releases will be issued to the local news media highlighting the remarkable service of the Louisiana Restaurant Legend in his or her area, and the employee’s photo and biography will be highlighted on the LRA website.
Each year, every chapter will be encouraged to submit one Louisiana Restaurant Legend to be acknowledged and recognized at the President’s Reception & Grand Awards Banquet during the Louisiana Foodservice EXPO. Chapter winners can be chosen from any employee within the area who has received the Louisiana Restaurant Legends Award, regardless of what year the award was granted.
By recognizing the long-term service of Louisiana Restaurant Legends, we hope to encourage younger workers to follow their example. Jobs within our industry can be lifelong, meaningful careers. We encourage members who employ a Louisiana Restaurant Legend, or know of one in their area, to apply today. Together, we can spread the word about those outstanding examples of service and dedication in our midst.
